  1. hey guys. well, here we go....

i got a problem, one of my plants isnt doing so hot... im having trouble figuring out whats wrong....

ive got it under a daylight cfl, auctual watts 26, equivalant to 100 watt... i know thats not enough light, and this is not my question... i started my babies off on this so i didnt torch them going straight to a 400w hps light. anyways. this plant has been the most troublesome of the batch. earlier on in its life, one of the lights slumped down and burned this beautiful baby for awhile, as it had full contact with a few leaves... i tried to save it, and its growing alright so far.

soil: scotts with ADDED phosphorus for "stimulated root growth" now, i tried my best to find soil with nothing in it, and this is the best i could do.... scotts, with added phos... but thats it, nothing else is in it... it even says i can control my own feeding.

no ferts have been added yet, tho i ordered the foxfarm 3 pack and i will soon start feeding with that.

the problem: the first 2 and biggest of the fan leaves, well, their ugly... the ends are burnt try/yellow, and theres black/brown smudes/spots over them.... the cotelydons are looking alright, 1 of them still has a yellow spot from being burned earlier on but the other one is a healthy green. theres.... 10 leaves now, not including the cote's.... so 12 if you wanna count those.
im starting to worry because there are about 3-4 tiny brown/black spots on another of the fan leaves, im guessing its a fan leaf.... their... the 2nd biggest set of leaves on my plant so far... the first fan leaves are the biggest, and these are the 2nd biggest set of leaves... and one of them has these spots.

anyone have any idea whats wrong? i know its not the temps... they've been running around 60-65 when their OFF and 72-82 on average, when the lights are on....

this is one of my more developed plants, and while i germ'd 5 seeds and currently have 5 sprouts, i only plan on fully growing 4 plants.... so im going to have to kill one of them off anyways. this one has some of the nicest leaf growth so far, im just worried about the spots.

ive got another plant in case this one dies.... but, that one is slightly stunted to do an accidental mini-lst earlier on in life too... the stem is now crooked on that one... heh:eek:

  2. spotting can be caused by PH issues, do a soil runoff test..........optimum 6.5-6.8

    can you post pics

  3. i would, i just dont know how to re-size the pictures to put em on this site.... but check the PH you say?.... fuck, i was hoping nobody would say that... haha... i might have to run to the store and grab some el cheapo PH tester...

  4. and hey.... if it was really the PH... wouldnt all my plants be affected? or is it possible this one plant is just like a fluke.... no special treatment has been given.... they've all gotten everything the same.... same water, same soil, same lights.... everything...

  5. I didnt say it was PH, but PH is the first thing to check & most common source of issues ESPECIALLY for guys that dont check thier PH or own testers

could also be that 1 plant is not as strong as the others and the first to show signs of trouble

  6. okay, cool man, thanks for your help... i had to transplant them to their final homes today... and i threw up my 400 watter.... i had to dispose of the sick plant... i opted to go for the healthier looking, but unfortunetly stunted/not as developed... seedling. i misted them with some foxfarm shit.... they should be good to go! i cant wait!!!!
