I work outside year-round in Oklahoma, and I'm sick of this. I can't remember the last time we had a day under 100 degrees, and the last time we did I'm sure the heat index was over 100. I'M GOING FUCKING INSANE AND MY SKIN IS MELTING!
I want to move to the rocky mountains, or anywhere with an elevation of 8000-12,000 feet above sea level.
How's the humidity? A few days ago it was 109 and humid as FUCK! As soon as you walk outside here you're sweating. It's brutal in the afternoon.
Eh, I'm about as south as you can get in florida and the midwest seems to be getting it much worse than us this summer. Lately, every time I check the weather back home in Chicago it's like 10-20 degrees hotter up there.. At least it never hits 100 here. Other parts of Florida are different though, especially inland.
Yeah, Oklahoma's weather definitely leaves for more to be desired. Still, it beats the shit out of winter. I am not looking forward to the freezes.
Kramer, I can't wait for a good ol 3 day snow-ice-sleet-shit-storm. For the past 2 years we go to a huge park here and smoke a bunch of blunts under a big pavilion they have there while it snows all around us, simply because it's the only time when nobody else is there. Winter is by far my favorite time of the year in Oklahoma.
i hear you man i work indoors at a bigass store with no air conditioning literally carry papertowels around with me just for sweat, shitty fucking retail job so i gotta wear a smock over my shirt and the extra layer doesn't help in the least, i'm like the only guy on the man floor too so i do all the physical lifting and the manual labor. oh well i hate the cold just as much, so i can never really win autumn is too short...*sigh*
Hot damn! Does my heart good to see another okie around here! Hang in there TM. October is coming. That's when we get rewarded for living here thru these gawd awful summers. I'm off to kiss and cuddle my air conditioner now.
