    ok so today i was skating with a couple buddys for a while. then we got to talking about what were gonna do this weekend. these 2 friends don't smoke but they say they have. well one of them has smoked with me but has now stopped.

    ok so one of my friends goes hey bro what you doing this Friday since its good Friday? and i was like well im off work so i have a friend who invited me over to skate and smoke ALL day. and one of my friends goes dude thats the dumbest thing ever. and i said well whys that? it doesn't harm you besides minor lung damage but if i vape or eat it ill be fine. and he goes no you dont know what your talking about. and i simply said well whys that? and he replys with dude are you retarded? oh yeah you must be since dope kills brain cells. and i simply just lost it there. i started going what the fuck are you talking about? there was a study in the 60s or 70s that was done on sick monkeys and the test came out to be false. so YOU don't know what your talking about.

    and he goes are you stupid if you smoke over a long period of time you will lose loads of brain cells. and i said have you ever researched it? because i have almost day in and day out for a year. and he gives me this "that doesn't mean anything" look. and i said yeah you havnt so stop talking if you don't know what your talking about. and the other one goes well i guess i must be hearing wrong then. i said i guess so because it doesnt. then he replys with even my stoner friends say it loses brain cells and in 3rd grade my DARE officer said it does.

    so i said well your stoner friends are scientist are they? and then said your dare officer is suppose to keep you AWAY from drugs. not tell you what it doesn't do. and he says well your wrong dude it kills brain cells. and i said ok then ill go home print out a copy of scientific facts saying it doesn't. and then will you believe me? and he says no because people can reword anything on the internet it doesn't mean anything.


    sorry for the long post but that really just gets on my nerves when people are so closed minded about something just because of what they hear.

    yeah i hate when people preach about something they know nothing about or even worse what they hear. im gonna bring 5 sites tomorrow after work and show him in his face. and say here read this 5 different sites saying the same exact thing. now why don't you go give me 1 site scientifically saying it kills brain cells.

    yeah thats what always shuts them up. but they always say something like " anybody can get into a site and reword it" thats what really gets me mad. when theres proof but they refuse to believe the facts.

    damn governmental brainwashing.

    Why even argue with them? Who brings up the third grade in an arguement???

    The best thing to do is not talk about smoking with people who don't smoke. It causes much less stress. You'll feel much better not dealing with people ignorant of the facts.

    If they're real friends don't bring it up, if not hang out with them a lot less.

    Even worse than that are actual stoners who think that pot kills brain-cells.

    Frankly I think such people are just fucking idiots and they like to blame their stupidity on pot. "Oh yeah dude sorry I forgot about that man pot killed all my brain-cells and I don't remember too good . . ." I know plenty of them and they were all dumbasses before they even touched a bowl.

    And getting into arguments about acid is even worse because it's even more muddled.

    "Acid makes your spine push into your brain and it releases all this serotonin, but if you do it too much your brain has a hole in it."

    I dont get that anymore, but i did at one point... all my friends know better... Iv schooled em before and they know I know more than any of them.

    last week though a kid did come at me with that when he heard me say that it doesnt kill brain cells...

    It was pretty funny because he didnt get to say much it went kind of like this:

    *I say it doesnt kill brain cells to someone and he come into the convo*
    him: Dude are you retarded?!?!?! Yes it does!
    me: No it doesnt, there have been studies done which have proved it doesnt
    him: ok, whatever... try smoking every day for a month and see what happens
    me: Umm... Im on about 3 months straight, hows that?

    he stopped there because he knew I was right, even though he tried to argue later that weed is a gateway drug, its addicting, and that it makes people do stuff they would never do if they werent high...

    Man did he get a mental beating haha.

    yea i agree. some (ignorant) people think stoners are just burnt out idiots, but i know lots of people who smoke and do fine. it all depends on who you are as a person before you start smoking. people dont realize that marijuana isnt the type of drug that turns productive people into stupid lazy slobs.

    screw them....alcohol kills brain cells, weed doesnt....and i know that at some point in their lives, they will drink.....and getting drunk is a lot more harmful then getting high.

    been in a couple of those. i posted about the first one while ago. both instances i was in class. last time someone was looking through my pictures n came across images of my piipes. we started talking about them and weed. some girl who i've known all the year leading up to that point as loud, nosy, obnoxous came up and set her notebook on my desk, knelt down and started copying the notes.. from my desk. i thought alright... n jus kept talking to that other guy about bud, he was a curious weed-virgin, and takin the notes down too. the guy goes so do you smoke weed every day? i tell him just about and laugh. we talk and he said something about how it was funny and sad how the biggest pothead in the class had the highest average and everyone always copied off me instead of the other way around. the girl started talking about my grade too, and how smoking weed kills brain cells. i said hm? with a smile and no, friend, weed doesn't kill brain cells. i call people friend sometimes ::shrug:: the girl looked at me kind of like i was retarded and just repeated marijuana kills brain cells. yeah it made me mad but i didn't care about this girl enough to be talking to her anymore n just carried on taking down my notes. i jus feel why bother with some

    At my school it's mostly people that get piss drunk every weekend that look at my friends and I and talk about what stupid stoners we are. When really, I am an honor student in pre-IB(higher then honors)...who smokes. So all those people that tell me stoners are dumb and shit can go to hell. Some of the smartest guys I know smoke a shit load.

    If I were you I would have punched those kids in the face.

    haha...nice. The whole argument that weed is a gateway drug is so lame. How come legal drugs arent considered gateway drugs? Someone might argue that weed is illegal so people feel free to try other stuff. So why arent we making weed legal if thats the case? It could be just like alcohol and ciggerettes which arent considered gateway .

    ive been in the situation. i cant stand when people say shit like that. haha fuck DARE. they should give people accurate information about drugs so they can do them responsibly.

    thanks for all the replys guys. and igotsthecottons i didnt bother printing it out instead we have a class together and i told him to look up on Google "does weed kill brain cells" and i said ok don't believe be im not even gonna tell you which one to go to just click on one. he went to page 3 or 4 lol instead of the first one for some reason. must of thought it would be a greater chance of saying it does there.

    and sure enough it said it doesnt. i just looked at him and go excatly now learn your facts. haha




    and for whoever said when somebody tells your it kills brain cells your gonna say beer makes you beat your wife. that made me laugh so hard it was crazy. i think im gonna do that.

    Yeah my sister is kinda like that too, she trys to make me feel guilty about smoking, when she drinks, and she hates potheads and what not, when drinking is way worse. But yeah, when someone like that talks shit, and says it kills brain cells, just say, ok......then im going to go kill some of my brain cells, ive got plenty more. Agree with them and they will shut up.
