Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by badexample, Apr 5, 2012.

  1. I transplanted from 2 gal bags of coco brick into 10gal bags of coco brick and now they have slight discoloration and drooping leaves.. ontop of that the soil wont/hasn't dryed since I transplanted almost 2 weeks ago

  2. What's the ph of the run off and i may have misunderstood but have u been waiting for 2 weeks for the soil to dry?

  3. OP, thats because you were supposed to mix perlite with the coco.

at least 75% coco to 25% perlite.

the problem you are seeing is identical to problems you will encounter when you overwater your plants. since your plants have had wet feet for awhile, they may be devoloping root rot. pH and PPMs have nothing to do with your issues at the moment.

transplant your plants into somthing better than straight 100% coco. i know its going to be a pain the the ass with 10 gallon pots..........but sorry. if you want your plants to healthily survive, than youll transplant.

    welcome to the gardener's life :) .
