ok well i got a question.. how long can i keep shrooms fresh? im talking about the basic dry shrooms that are normally 35 bucks an 8th.. cause i dont do them that often and when i want to they are hard as fuck to find but i just got a buddy who will give me a great deal and i figured i could buy an 1/2 oz and save it for when i wanna use it.. opinions?
I'd say many months or even up to a year or two as long as you keep them airtight. Keep them in a cool, dark place as well. Don't expose them to heat or light for long periods of time... Actually I remember reading on shroomery.org a while back that a batch of liberty caps from England that were dated from around 1850 were found to be as potent as shrooms picked on the west coast in the mid 1970s, but I'm not sure how those were preserved. I'm sure you'll be fine though. Good luck with the shroom endeavours.
i ended up getting that tonight! looks so lovely and its prob gonna last me a year if not longer lol, since i do em once a month or every other.. but here it is..
mmm, tasty shrooms dude i had some fungus that looked very very similar to that (O RLY!!!) and i kept it inside my desk drawer in a ziploc for 8 or 9 months. it was fine on consumption and did not appear to lose potency. -NECRO
year+ without any loss of potency in an air tight bag. i personally wouldny buy more than i could use in 6 months just to be safe also looks like you got those from a person who is a good grower. nice looking shrooms there

DAMN. Growing your own is a pretty fun endevor. You learn alot, and the final outcome is better.if you invested $100, you could start a VERY nice grow, and be set for ATLEAST a yr. If you did 2 casings, you could produce a 1/2 O quite easily, if not more.I find eating my home grown shrooms fresh is MUCH better than ANY shrooms I have ever bought.
yea but i dont really do them that often so i figured i should just buy a grip. dont have the area to grow etc..
haha i dont really expect anyone who doesnt grow to not know, i jsut thought id say it, but ill explain cause i got nothin better to do and its kinda funny when the viel breaks open on a growing shroom and you get those nice caps, its drops a spore print, which is basically the way it reproduces in nature and stuff, and its just a black circle the size of the cap that comes from the bottom part with the gills. well to keep a nice shroom grow going your going to want to collect a few spore prints so you dont have to buy more spores anywhere. how you do this is cut off the cap of a shroom that just opened but hasnt dropped a spore and collect the print somewhere. so basically you have a nice cut caps right there on the mid right and the best looking cap. i dunno just something to notice lol
