So I wonder if there’s any distinction of sexing from other qualities or attributes that plants have before the nodes develop?
There are a couple ways that could give you an educated guess of sex, but they are not reliable enough to determine that. One example is males typically grow taller (so that the pollen has more of a chance to fall on the female plants), but again, it's not reliable at all.
Can't tell by those pics......I can't anyway....but either way...i suggest you do some LST on them in case they are females...
Good advice! I can’t know for sure, but this is the first time I’m seeing all those sprouts in the middle of those stems so I wondered! I’m a first time grower, so it’s all new to me!
Yesss I’ve been wanting to!! I figured those little sprouts between the stems was from some definite light penetration to the underneath of that one plant, it’s not happening on the others, Atleast not yet. I attempted to lean one over on its side a little, but didn’t tie it down. I’ve been wanting to try some LST, but wary of it as well since I’m not so experienced! I was just gonna try with one but maybe I should give it a go for all of them. One plant is significantly smaller than the rest
