I have a couple easy ryder autoflowering and there are about 2-3 weeks before they are done. Should i stop adding nutrients, im only using big bloom by Foxfarm. what is my next step?
Perfect timing. Yes, stop feeding about 2 weeks before expected harvest. And, at that 2-weeks-to-go point, you should flush your pots if you are growing in soil. This will wash the salts and any built-up nutes in your soil on out. You want your plant to have drawn down its internal storehouse of nutes at harvest because nutes taste like crap to smoke. By cleansing the soil of any remaining nutes and then denyig any feeding for the final two weeks before harvest, you are going to force the plant to use its storehouse, which will result in better tasting bud. P.S. This flushing process means to run water at 3 times the volume of the pot through the soil and let it all drain out the bottom. It's a lot of water and a bit messy but a simple concept.
cool. that answers one of my questions too. GC rocks! check out my grow http://forum.grasscity.com/general-indoor-growing/531815-1000w-mh-hps-lst-scrog-dwc-first-grow.html
YES! about 2 weeks before stop adding all extra nutrients and let it grow all natural with just water, if not it can effect bud flavor, and burning.
