My little hydro shop called me and they have a used Sun System 1 600w HPS, air cooled reflector and cord/base for $200, ...I'll be picking it up tomorrow. The question is, I have a plant in it's 7th week of flower, under a 150 HPS, should I change out the light or finish with the 150? Would there be any improvement with the bigger light or would it just shock my lady in her final week or so?
Never done it, but I don't see a problem with it. Just make sure you can deal with the extra heat the light is going to produce. Not sure if you will notice a huge difference in yield seeing as you are so far along. But it couldn't hurt. Good luck.
Well I picked it up for $200. Nice upgrade from my homemade 150w! Also a couple of pics of my first grow, she the "Mama" of the clones (bag seed) that I'll be running while I wait for my Nirvana White Widow to veg/sex.
