Should I upgrade?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Gatorsgrow, Sep 28, 2021.

  1. Week 9 of flower,3 plants in a 2x2 tent and a mars hydro ts600, thinking about getting a bigger tent and light, maybe a 4x4 and a ts1000, to grow more photos this winter, and grow autos in the 2x2, suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks IMG_20210928_082051138.jpg

  2. B.t.w I estimate another 4 weeks until harvest,am I on track?

  3. I picked up a 30x mag. loupe yesterday and I will be checking trichomes later today when I pull them out of the tent to water

  4. I want to comment . Do not buy a tent .
Get some 2by4 boards . A few screws
Build a square with the two by 4 boards if you will . Total cost of a 4/4 room should be under 20 bucks in wood . Then get some 1/4 inch thick dry wall . Only 4 bucks per 4 by8 sheet . so again 20 bucks
In total it should be under 50 bucks to build a actual grow room. The door will cost the most 25 bucks or just use a tarp for the door . So 65 bucks a entire room . Instead of a cheap tent .
And for the led get a viparspectra p4000 for that 4/4 area there only 275 from ebay.

Don't put a ts1000 in a 4x4 the only reason the 600 is barely working now is due to your small tent.

As of right now you're using 25 watts a sqft which is below the 30 watts a sqft you want as a minimum. I prefer 40 to 45 watts a sqft. In a 4x4 the ts1000 would give you 9 watts a sqft. You'd want around 600 watts for the 4x4 not the 150 watts from a ts1000. Personally I wouldnt suggest putting anything less that 150 watts over a single plant. You're using 100 watts with the ts600

  6. The TS1000 is only meant for a 2x2 flowering area. Get something bigger.

  7. Except for the light I totally agree with Bryan oconner. I recommend the Koscheal 2000 on Amazon for about $110. I, and a friend, are getting really good results with them in both veg and flower.

  8. Okay, I broke down and went with the 3x3 and the ts2000, I thought about building my own, but I swing a hammer for a living and don't have time, also need it to be quick take down, I rent. I was actually going to get some tpo roofing membrane from work, super light reflective ( any roofers out there know)

  9. Decent sale on the TS2000 right now too. I think a tent is going to be good for you since you rent. Do you plan to use the TS600 with the TS2000 in the new tent?

  10. Hopefully moving the 3 to the new tent asap, let the gelato have the 2x2 and the ts600

  11. New tent is 3x3, don't have much time to finish the 3 sativa's, they'll go in the new tent

  12. My plan is to put the 3 sativa's in the new tent as soon as it's set up in hopes that they are ready for harvest by the time the gelato starts to flower, if so, I'll put the gelato in the new tent and use the 2x2 to dry the harvest, after that, I will decide if I want to start another gelato or just grow the one I have now

  13. You like the p4000 better then the xs4000? they are 345$

  14. Watch youtube . Mygrow . He tests all the led lights. The p series actually is cheaper and ha s more par then the newer s models . Watch a bunch of his vides .
