Should I trust a "staff pick" strain?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Enjoyable High, Jun 23, 2023.

  1. The local dispensary each week labels 3 or 4 items of flower, resin, or edibles as "staff picks". Does that mean its the best pot or does it mean that they're just getting rid of old inventory which did not sell well and they want to move it out using " staff pick" as a sales gimmick?

  2. If They value their reputation, it should be great.

Ask them why it's a staff pick. If they can't tell You
why it's better than the other stuff, it's probably just
    a gimmick.

  3. 3-4 "staff picks" every week is highly suspicious.

  4. It's most likely a marketing gimmick to move product. Or maybe it's an internal perk, top sellers from previous week get to pick the strains and bragging rights...:p

  5. Maybe four people work there. :)

  6. I don't trust it.

  7. just a promotion or loss leader.
it can be overstock they want to get rid of before it does become old.

  8. do the staff look like they smoke a lot of weed?

as the shop owner would you let your staff smoke a lot of your stock?

  9. not for free.;)
    most use.

  10. Ok so you'll were right. I checked today and the same "staff pick" chemovars (strains) were marked 13% off last week's prices. Thanks, you all are so smart.

  13. its a marketing tactic to get butts inside the store... same reason why any other store has sales on items.

it doesnt mean the weed is bad and it doesnt mean its the best shit they have either. its just a sale lol

  14. If They value their reputation it's good but other than that it's marketing strategy.
