Before or after what? Are you using all of the flower and the trim to make butter?
I always choose to trim before I dry. It is just easier that way in my opinion. When trimming I also divide my trim in to usable material and garbage. Large fan leaves, stalk, and large stems go to garbage bucket. The closer trim material that actually has a decent amount of trichs goes in to a bin where it is dried and then used for edibles or concentrates. Flower gets smoked. If you are grinding everythingthing up for butter including flower and all then you could just do a rough trim to get rid of garbage, dry, and then grind your material down.

  2. I do a lil of both large stuff at hang time small stuff 2 weeks later when they’ve been in jars for a few days

  3. If you're not going to smoke it just cut off the fan leaves and let it dry
