Strain- Xanthanite , Auto Fem Growing in a 2x2 tent, vivosun s1000 light, in 2 gallon fabric pots, plants about 5 weeks old, wondering if I should top it, was gonna wait for a another branch to come out from the middle but past 2-3 days it's been on this one
Thanks im a first time grower , and was concerned since i don't have alot of height to work with and not sure how tall the plants will grow
Won't get no taller now bud, shes already flowering, she is what she is at this point..lol..thats y I won't grow autos, im used to 4 ft plants that produce 4+ ounces, I dont wanna be in same situation u are here and only end up with tiny plants and only a couple grams to an ounce..I can only grow 4 legally and seems this is the result a lot of ppl are getting lately..its not worth the time or money as far as I'm concerned..
That plant stills has 8 weeks of flowering to go through, he will definitely get more than just a few grams. When I grow auto's they start showing hair's in tops around 30 days and get around 6 o/z per plant once you know what you are doing.
Also wondering if I should cut some of the large fan leaves , to have the plant focus its energy into its buds and hopefully still grow out more node sites
Leave those leaf's on because they will feed your bud's, only remove them for air flow if to thick or ones in middle covering new growth. But you're looks good to go.
Exactly..once u know what ur doing! And im pretty sure he might not..like where u topping from? Its already budding, so remove bud? Where's he hoping the extra nodes come from? Again its budding, no more growth except bud height. How's he expecting the plant to put all energy into buds if he removes the main source of energy? And looks as if there was no lst lst in veg at all..Just saying photos give u room to fuck up and heal and as far as mine, they love the stress, but autos don't take kindly to stress and he's looking at every way to stress and stunt it and ruin his yields anyways, so no, for me who tends to fuck up at least one thing in every grow whether its intentional or not..lol..autos aren't for me and even though I don't grow them I do still research which seems a lot of ppl do not..
I'm on the fence whether to try them or not (autos). Stuck in a "if it aint broke type deal with the clones, very happy with them but a change would be nice, better??? thanks for the info.
Well thats like myself, I have auto seeds but I exclusively run clones and not all same strain, I have a few different growers and we swap up clones every grow, I wanna run a few(autos) just to give um a try on the side, maybe someday when I'm well stocked for a season just for shots and giggles..im just used to stressing tf outta my plants sometimes and its not worth the energy bill/soil/nutes/time for something i might f up and end up with small harvest or nothing at all..lol..not to mention expensive seeds!
Swapping clones, excellent idea! I'm sure I'm not the ONLY (small) grower in the area. I hate to compost perfectly good clones.
