I am using a Bubbleponics hydro system, growing 3 plants, small area. Using Big Bud Auto Seeds, 2 300 Watt CFL's. Just wondering if you guys think I should top em, or let em grow like they want! Thanks in advance guys.
You shouldn't top autos just let them do their thang..you can lst them a bit if you have height restrictions
Ehh, my ceiling is about 8 ft, so I don't think I should have any height issues. I figured I should let them do their thang. Thanks a ton for the helpful advice
lst doesn't just help height problems, it increases the area exposes to light and thus increases yield
^this CFL penetration is weak, so a tall plant under 1 or 2 strong bulbs won't be as efficient as a short flat canopy under the same. That being said, I wouldn't stress an auto in any way because of their limited veg time. At least with a regular seed you can veg for as long as you like to get your desired yield. I'd just spread your lights out around the auto, keeping them as close as possible. I'm not topping my auto but it's under a 400w so my penetration is good.
