Should I thin out some leaves "pics"

  1. I have 2 purple-urple clones that have been primarily bred for a short stocky indoor plant. I have them outdoor and are now about 5' tall and almost 4' across and very dense. They are starting to flower quite nicely, but the plants are so dense I was wondering if I should trim some of the leaves off to get more sun down inside because there is little nuggets all the down the limbs almost to the stalk. All my other plants are normal with buds forming primarily on the end of all the limbs, but these 2 are a little different than anything I've dealt with.

This is one of the purple-urple's

This is one of my AK-47 x Durban Poison crosses starting to look nice considering they went in the ground June 20th.

  2. Can someone reply to the question about "thinning out plants".Thanx

  3. I have no idea, really..... My hunch is no, if anything i would tie the outside branches down and open up the center of the plant. Your plants are using those leaves to breathe, and take in sunshine, all good things... so why stop it?

    Just watch for mold.

But those are some gorgeous plants. And really fast flowerers too. Nice.

  4. Very very nice plants for being planted june 20th although if they clones they could have been growin a while before being planted regardless nice healthy plants. To answer your question... No I would not do any trimming, the fan leaves are still going their job. Until you see the leaves starting to turn yellow then you can do some trimming but until that happens keep doin what ur doin good job.

  5. buddy, instead of removing leaves, why not be smart and stake the branches out so the sun gets down. I bet you will get even more bud that way, but if you do remove leaves, remember they are the food store for your buds, I wouldn't remove them. Nice looking plant though.:smoking:

  6. Thanks for the replies all. Your correct doober, they were cloned about 3 weeks prier to planting. I'll go out this morning and see if I can pull the branches open some and stake them.

  7. Yes, I would recommend getting rid of some of the leaves that are covering up the lower bud sites, also try to bring the lower branchs out a bit more ;)
