So I recently received the following bong: Black Leaf - ELITE Cylinder 6-arm Perc Splash Ice Bong - Grasscity.com I love the little guy, probably the best $100 shipped I've spent. The bong has an 18.8mm joint and came with a reducing inside-cut downstem. Now that I'm in the market for a pre-cooler, I have to make a decision about what to do. I want an inline-perc, and am stuck between 14.5mm and 18.8mm male joints. I was planning on installing a showerhead at some point, so should I just spring for an 18-18 showerhead and get a matching pre-cooler at the same time? Would the drag of an inline perc and a 6-arm open bottom tree perc be too much for a 14.5mm downstem? Below is one of the 14.5mm pre-coolers I was looking at: Black Leaf - Inline Perc Teardrop Precooler With Adapter - Grasscity.com It comes with an 18.8>14.5 adapter, so I could still make it work with my bong, but logic tells me that one smaller joint in the system reduces every other part just as much. What do you guys think? Keep in mind, this is a 15 inch bong, so I can't put some massive pre-cooler on it without it unbalancing it. Thanks in advance, and happy toking.
"An 18.8mm > 14.5mm adapter is included." Does this mean it'd fit my new bong that has a 18.8mm joint size?
foolet, Yes, it allows you to use a 14.5mm slider or pre-cooler with a downstem that has an 18.8mm female joint. Or you can use it in a 14.5mm downstem with an 18.8mm bowl. So you think that buying a 14.5mm pre-cooler would be too constricting?
