whats up guys. Im new to the forum and also new to growing ive researched alot of information this past year and attempted to grow my own little one and im in need of some help. i just started out with one seed just so i diddent ruin all of them haha but this is where im at in the flowering stage i think she is done but im going to need a second opinion. I did start a little late due to me battleing my self i was not sure if i was going to follow through with it or just say fuck it but i did and hear i am, i am roughly around day 50 of flowering and the hairs and everything are turning amber i do have a jewler microscope and they do look milky but they also look clear just having a hard time figuring it out. take a look.
If most of the trichomes are still clear, I would wait a little bit..the high of bud that is harvested early is less enjoyable, at least to me..seems to make my mind race instead of a nice mellow feeling.
for anyone reading this i have infact started flushing her for a few days now i did not use a shit ton of nutrients this grow because i wasent sure if i was going to even get a female so i diddent want to spend a ton of money just yet just so i could end up pulling it or collecting pollen. I would still like some other ideas from some growers out there i know you guys see this im such a newb i just want to see what three or more people have to say. At this point im almost ready to pull it but i dont want to be that guy hahah.
I'm kind if in the same boat bud. I got a good amount of answers but conflicting at best. My trichomes are cloudy but i still have many Many hairs that are still white. Also my two main buds are like half ounce buds but the rest are all maybe gram buds and I want to let those grow a bit. Many experienced growers will say you can just look at it and tell. So I think the white hairs would prob be a good indicator it's not ready. The Dank Knight
Thanks for the info it's actually in a well open area I'm just battling the weather at this point with temperatures dropping and days getting shorter I took these photos right before it got dark out. awesome info appreciate you guys helping I will post more photos next week I think I'm not going to chop any of it down I'm going to let her go for another week or so I.haven't seen any amber trichs yet and some white pistols still remain
So here are a few more shots of my little girl about a week or so after the last few shots I took. I can see the trichomes getting milky now and the calax are starting to swell but are not fully there yet. My concern is that it's getting colder and there is a chance for some snow showers nothing crazy but still cold enough to snow this is suppose to happen Saturday my question is do you think she will be able to survive the cold on that day or should I cut my losses now? Forecast looks ok after Saturday but just wanted to make sure it gets in the low 30s now at night and she is doing fine but with the wind and it being cold on Saturday I think that might be enough to kill her
Its turning purple from the cold, which is sweet. Ur so close id go to 8-9 weeks Sent from my LGLS740 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Ok, that's honstly one more week maybe two which is what I was thinking also I'm just afraid she will get a little bit damaged due to the temperature going down in the mid 20s just on Saturday the following week looks great though Can I put a bag or something over her just for that day
I found a great way to tell if your plant is ready to harvest is to imagine what your nugs will look like at about half the size and completely trimmed. If it doesn't look like it should (imagined), then it's not ready. Take before and after pics so you can see the difference. I'm looking for a bigger nug myself!
Yea, I know she isn't ready thanks to all the info you guys posted it's helping me out allot actually my problem now is cold temperatures abd chance of light snow Saturday I'm not ready for this shit haha what can I cover her with jUst for one night? Will a black trash bag work I will put on when Sun goes down abd take it off early the next morning
