After a recent road trip through Utah I went to St. George, UT. I'm a huge fan of offroad sports, from hiking to jeeping, dirt biking, and base jumping/ skydiving. Im fed up with the cold and flatness of chicago, and feel right at home in the desert and Moab. Is St. George the adventure/ offroad paradise I think it is? I'm a daily mmj user, what are the people views towards mj around there? Is there a better place to live that would cater to my adventure lifestyle and mmj use? SoCal? Nevada?
St. George is a beautiful area. Back when I was living in Salt Lake I would frequently make trips down to St. George in the summer for some off roading. As for views about marijuana, not favorable in southern Utah. Salt Lake City has just started to come around with how it views weed, as has most of northern Utah, but south still has a very heavy Mormon influence (whereas it is beginning to wane in the north), and particularly a very heavy fundamentalist Mormon influence.
thanks man. I'll be growing my own, so I'm not worried about supply. I know nevada has legal mmj, it looks like as close as I could get to St. George would be Mesquite, NV. I haven't heard anything good about Mesquite tho, unless it was from a old retiree. I'm hoping to find a city in the southwest that has access to a bunch of different outdoor adventure type stuff and offroad trails. St. George would be perfect if the mormons could come around to mj in a jiffy.
