As shown in the picture i will be growing in a 6 site Rubbermaid Tote i will not have much room height wise so i wish to keep the plants small to do so i plan on either topping once or twice and or using Lst do you think i will have the room to do so width wise? my concern is that the plants will be "Too" bushy and there wont be enough room for all 6 to be low stress trained

  2. Bump.. Maybe super crop?

  3. i would went 4 pots and scroged

  4. What's your current setup and size of growing?!

    Wattage, Height, and SQ feet.

  5. 400 watts HPS im going to be doing 2 of the dwc's one with afghan kush special and one with Ata Tundra both grow to be about the same height and almost the same flowering period they will be grown side by side in a closet with about a foot of extra space on each side with height space i have just under 4' to work with before they are almost touching the light and i would like to keep them 1 foot under the light so they dont get heat damage so its more like just under 3' i hope this helps give you a better idea any feed back or advise would be greatly appreciated :smoke:

Also how would i tie them down to lst with a dwc? i cant use stakes and there wouldn't be a lot of places around the totes to tie em with hmph maybe some folded ducktape taped down to the plastic with more ducktape? =P

  6. Top then lst

  7. could try some autos.

  8. Definitely LST. You could tie them down with string or twine, then duct tape the ends of the string to the plastic. This will get messy pretty fast though. You could also drill small holes in the top of the tote, put zipties through the holes (pulling the zipties tight so that you have each ziptie makes a "loop"), then tie the string to the ziptie loops.

Another option would be to use affix stakes (bamboo, plastic, whatever) around the outside edge of the tote (probably use duct tape to attach the stakes to the tote, space each stake about 3-5 inches apart) so that the stakes form a sort of "fence" around the top of the tote, then tie the string to the stakes.

And here's my best idea yet (it just came to me as I was typing the above, every once in a while I get it right :p). Get some netted material like row cover material that gardeners use to keep birds from eating their crops, or trellis netting, a nylon trellis material used by gardeners (doesn't matter, just a netted material with about 1/2-1 inch openings), and attach the netted material over the top of the tote. Imagine laying the netting flat over the top of the tote, with holes cut out for where the pots are. Attach the netted material to the edges of the tote (with duct tape or whatever). So the netting will lay flush with the top of the tote, covering the entire top of the tote except for the holes cut for the pots. Now you have a big "grid" that you can tie your string/twine to. This would be by far the easiest and most efficient way to secure your LST ties.

Hopefully this makes sense, feel free to PM me if you need me to clarify. Here's a link to an amazon page selling the type of material I am talking about, but you can use any netted material with about a 1/2-1 inch opening (I'm just linking this to help you visualize what I'm talking about). HTH :smoke:

  10. Thank you for the many ideas you were quite innovative lol i think im gonna tie em down with just some string and some ducktape
