First off...I realize my plants are still small (cracked seeds were planted 25 days ago)...but here are a few reasons why i am thinking about flowering them now... --These were free bag seeds from AMS and I have no idea if I am looking at ANY females. --This was really just a trial run to get the kinks out...I think I have the basics down. --The 3 largest (seen below) have been topped or fimmed.... --And MOSTLY...I have some good Seed bank Fem'd seeds I really want to plant... So IF...IF at least one of my biggest 3 are female...do you think I'll get enough out of her to be worth flowering early and move on to my QUALITY Fem'd seeds?
dude some of those plants look like they're worth waiting for. if anything start flowering and see which ones are females then turn them back to veg and take out the males. now you have room to grow a fem or two.
Its not a good idea to do this unless you want to severely stress your plants....if you're going to wait just wait. If you plan on getting seedbank seeds and want to get those started then just flowering these now, they're old enough to flower -- but id wait at least another week or 2
OK...well I decided to givem another 10-14 days. I'll be pissed at myself if that nice thick indica that was successfully fimmed ended up being a chick and I didn't wait.
I'd wait a bit. Once they get a big bigger you can put a paper bag over a branch and remove it every 12 hours and just the branch will start flowering so you can tell sex. This won't stress the plant as much as bringing the entire thing to flower and back to veg, plus you will be able to pull clones off the female veg branches.
you should wait and take clones then once the are rooted and as tall as you'd like put them in flowering and see what you got(males/females)
they look nice. you should induce flowering to determine sex, kill the males, go back to veg on the females and clone em'. just my input. http://forum.grasscity.com/general-indoor-growing/531815-1000w-mh-hps-lst-scrog-dwc-first-grow.html
