Should I germ them or plant um?

  1. I have some seeds germing in between the usual two plates trick, and my friend, who grows a lot, said that I shouldn't germinate them with the wet paper towl thing, that I should just put them straight into some pots and water them a lot. He said that his method works better, and speeds up the process a little bit. So my question is, should I keep doing what I'm doing with the two plates? Or should I use his method and plant the seeds directly in pots? I have been germinating my seeds for like 4 days now, and NOTHING is happening. I'm beginning to think my friend's method might work better. ANY input on my situation would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Sometimes it takes a while. What is the temp where they are germing? I don't like germing myself, but many of the dirt farmers love it. I use 100% perlite or rockwool just depends. I do presoak my seeds in seaweed extract though for at least 12-24 hours depends.

  3. My headshop told me to put them into water keep them warm and dark. Have done that and every seed germenated in a few days no problem!

  4. I always put my seeds straight in the soil without germinating in paper towel or water. I just get the soil really wet, than put the seed in and cover with some plastic to keep the humidity in. They always sprout and I think it's less work.
