Hey blades I'm in a down place right now and being away from home makes me isolated from my support system so figured I should ask here... I'm going to school down at Drexel(in Philly) and am having a miserable time. I tried to get in a dorm but nope I got stuck living with a guy who sits in the apartment all day on his computer(Does not blaze so yeah wtf..) I mean while it's a hella good school it's designed for professional development and what not and I just don't know what I wanna do so I think I might have made a mistake... Would I be a fool to drop out and seek employment back home(not a great job market but I'm sure I can find something to keep myself busy..) Since I'm thinking why bother with school for now if I have no idea on what I wanna do in life... Any experienced blades with insight to drop in this sort of stuff would be greatly appreciated.
Take my advice too... i dropped out at the end of my last year... not having a degree is like living like ur handicapped. Now im goin back to college after realizing the mistake i made, when i should have already graduated lol College... what u put in is what u get out of it. Time flies so fast dude once ur done with college u will look back and it will feel like it lasted a day. I used to make excuses like "Look at all the successful people without degrees!" but now i regret that mindset. Its a great place to meet people by the way, everyone is trying to be sociable, a simple "Hey whatsup" does the trick, so if ur roommate bores u then join a club or talk to people in class, ur bound to find someone whos always gonna be telling people about parties. Ive seen the BIGGEST NERDS / LOSERS pull the hottest ass in college too, all the chicks are down to FUCKKKK! I spent a year isolated from everything, literally just going to class and coming home doing nothing but then i told myself nothing would change unless i put a positive mental attitude and pushed myself out of my comfort zone. Then shit got so fun ! But yeah for the degree, trust me man, any degree is worth it.
Give it another month. But like above poster said, be more social, join a club or something. It'll be fun, I promise. I feel like college sucks for everyone at first (at least people who aren't commuting/don't know a fuckton of people at the school) but once you get some friends, it gets infinitely better
Yeah that's defiantly what my problem is(going to class then straight home..) I think I'm going to look and see what clubs there are out there that I would like. Thanks for the great advice guys! + reps and the next bowl I smoke dedication goes out to all of you!
What the fuck are you gonna do in 2012 without a diploma? Hahahahahahaha.
Haha the plan was only temporary I'm not foolish/that burnt enough to think that not having a degree would get me places in life. Just wanted to reevaluate... But I finally get a philly cheesesteak  last night and that and this thread made me at ease with my situation.... Damn now I wanna cheesesteak
i dropped out of college 3 times before i got my degree. i know it sucks but without a degree you won't get no where in life. if it's just your living arraignments, get a part time job or 2 and find a cheap apartment.
Drexel is a great school man, I have two family members that went there for engineering and they are extremely well off.
Idk dude, in this deadbeat economy thats going no where, maybe you should pursue something else. I'm in the sane boat as you bro
Stay in bro, I'm in college right now and it sucks in a way. But just like highschool, it sucked but it was worth it knowing I'd have my papers. Strive on man.
Is that slender in your sig?
Hah nah it's just an album cover I edited into a sig...lightning bolts "oblivion hunter" but I can see where the confusion stems from hahah
