One weed in too flower, feed at 1.4 EC, ph 6.2, I’m growing in coco under a 480w QB along side a 600w hps. Just wondering how often I should defoliate. Also should I LST some branch’s too bring them further out without too much stress ? Any help would appreciate sorry poor grammar. Also there’s a slight bleach on the leaf’s I think the lights too close can anyone confirm? They are both at around 30 inches now I put them higher

  2. what is the light level? I wouldn't push over 60K lux.

as far as defoliating, I feel when I do it too much, it diminishes yields. You have done a nice defoliation job already (the lower parts) so I'd hold off.

  3. Yes to your answer . Any leaf that cant be moved that is blocking a bud side needs to be removed
Also your led light will only go about a foot deep into the plants . Anything lower then the foot you need to remove Lollypop more .
Light too close ? You need to get a lumen meter for 15 bucks . Keep it under 80000.
Ditch the hps Upgrade to another qb system .
I just checked a hps 600 bulb last night . 6 INCHES away it will make 80k lumens . And a max area of one foot square . So if your a foot above with that hps your getting 35000 lumens or 650 par not a whole lot to get big yields ,

  4. In veg i wont go over 55 to 60 you can see yellowing from it . Once they start to flower i am hitting 85 max all green plant And these plants are in 18 hours autos . In my photo room i use the same amount of light .

  5. i agree, but you and I both know its partly strain specific and partly light spectra specific. If he/she is seeing some bleaching, I'd cut it back. You still need to acclimate for larger light levels...

how u doing bryan, been a while bro ;)

  11. so you are trying to say a 600 watt hps bulb only covers 1 square foot and has to be 6 inches away I beg to differ but maybe you had a cheapo knock off bulb lol

  14. It depends on what your trying to accomplish!! I know a lot of people are against it but imo if you want your shoots to grow more then your should defoliate all leaf’s the size of your palm. But if you are at a point where you have the structure you want and your looking to grow your tops for bigger nugs then do not take off large leaf’s because they block light to the lower shoots and help the plant produce more nodes on top shoots. Good luck buddy
I personally aggressively defoliate through veg while making a flat canopy then only take off leaf’s covering the main nugs I want.
Just noticed you were already in flower so that changes things! My bad hahahaha
I like to let them grow however they want for at least a week then go in and defoliate anything that is large and coving bud tops.

  15. I suggest going back and read my post again. You do not undrstand . To make 80k lumens yes even with a hortilux bulb that is new .Light from directly under the bulb will produce 80k lumes about a foot around . Now if your 8 inches away i expect that hps to produce 45k to 50k lumes over a 3/3 area easily depending on the reflector being used .. Again leds produce 80k easily into a large area with half the power .

  16. I get around 22 0z with four plants with just a 600w so an extra 480 qb would be better (should)
