I am growing large plants in 5 gallon drip buckets. I have been growing like this for about 18 months and mostly just 3-5 plants at a time for a hobby. I recently devoted more space and did a crop of 12 plants. 2600 watts and I got 4 oz off each plant. This is in a 5'x13' area. Should I try another method like flood and drain table? I was thinking of trying it out with 1 4'x4' table and use the rest of the area for my buckets. The 4'x4' table with 16 smaller plants in a SOG should yeild more than the 4 big ones that take up the same space right?
i cant say either way on the variation of hydro, as i never tried the bubble buckets, but SOG usually owns fewer bigger plants, and IMO is more efficient. Also FWIW im using 3 4x4 tables on a 3 week rotation.
