  1. I'm a hypochondriac and have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. Anything to do with heart rate or blood pressure freaks me out. I'm obsessed about my heart. I've been having bad anxiety attacks and shit lately. My Dr listened to my heart about a month ago and said it sounded perfect. No murmur or anything yet I'm still worried. I'm active everyday. I lift dumbbells and do push ups/pull ups all the time. I've been working construction for the past 4 months sonim always active at my job too. However I haven't done cardio exercise like running and shit for a long time. I weigh 160 lbs and im 5'11 23 yrs old. I'm in bed and I just downloaded this heart rate monitor on my phone. It's supposed to be perfectly accurate. It said my resting bpm was 58. Then I took it again and it said 63. Then I sat up and started feeling anxious like that's way too low... I took it again and it was 73. Should I be worried? I thought only people who ran and did cardio every Fucking day were supposed to be around 60 bpm? I mean I'm in great shape and I eat very healthy but still.. Idk.

  2. I should also mention I take omega 3 pills and magnesium tuarate and im currently taking anti anxiety meds

  3. This morning right when I woke up and I took it. It was 65. Lately when I wake up in the morning I get this adrenaline rush I believe is just anxiety. I seriously feel like shit when u wake up and im just laying in bed. During the rush this morning my heart rate was 75. I popped an anxiety pill and it went back down to 65-70

  4. dude you are fine, I am the exact same way though, lately I have been having weird pains in my back and I have a bad feeling it's my liver or kidney's, i'm sure i'm fine though..

  5. Anywhere between 60 and 100 bpm is perfectly normal. All you did was freak yourself out which raised your heart rate. If you work out as strenuously as you do, your heart is fine

  6. Honestly I don't think there's anything us trained medical professionals can tell you. Maybe try asking people on a cannabis-themed forum for some help. :|

  7. I'm glad you posted this here. I'm a cardiologist at the Richard Pryor Medical Center. I meet young men like you everyday and I assure you that you have nothing to worry about. I'd recommend you take 0.3 grams of kush twice a day and masturbate vigorously to lesbian porn.

Best of luck. Dr. Fucktard Ph.D

  8. when i was in shape (then i started smoking and drinking) i could never get my heart rate down to 60 BPM unless i was sleeping. it jsut dpeends. mabey if your taller, you need more pressure to get the blood back up from your legs, and up to your head.

your fine dude. unless that shit is like 30 BPM your fine.

  9. IF you keep thinking like this something is going to happen because you are putting stress on yourself. I used to be like this as well, smoke some bud and settle down. When something like this happens just find a good tv show you enjoy or something to take your mind off of it, because I promise, the more you think like this, the more likely something is going to happen.

  10. Guys I'm at the Dr office and the nurse took my blood pressure. Something that really freaks men out. She said my blood pressure was 140/70. Is that low or high?!

  11. Why don't you ask the medical professional and not a bunch of stoners.

  12. The nurse told you the number....and you didn't take it upon yourself to ask her?

Like the fact that you're actually in the office but you'd rather update us and not use the resources at hand.

    You're one smart cookie.

  13. You're probably gonna have a heart attack

  14. I asked her kid but I don't trust people. She could have just been saying that so I wouldn't freak out further or maybe she isn't trained well so I wanted the publics opinion.

  15. But the public opinion isn't key when you're not on a site deemed for medical study.
I do understand why you're worried but I do understand that having higher states of anxiety because you're personally freaking yourself out, means that you'll have to have a closer relationship with your doctor.
Probably even chart and graft out your normal days so you can see how your blood pressure changes, might help settle you down.
But you have one life to live, you can ostracize yourself so in the longshot you're worsening your state or take the proper route that is accessible.
Not ask a group of stoners.

  16. Later on tonight.....OP: Ok guy's the doctor has checked over my entire body and says I'm in picture perfect health..."a model specimen"-his words. But he had a tiny lisp and I think he might be gay...do you think he told me I'm healthy because he was trying to hit on me,,,,ahhhh fuck my heart rate is at 77, three minutes ago it was only72 ahhhhhh.

op got the trolling motor on his fishing boat

  17. The best thing you can do for yourself, is discuss this with your primary care doctor. Good luck.

    /thread.
