I'm still unsure if I should be adding epsom salt to my water. Im using Coco Botanicare products and Tap water. Ph of 7.5 to 8.2 (I Ph water to 5.8) I have been to two different grow shops and have been told different things. One shop told me No don't bother. Our Tap water has enough stuff in it already. don't use epsom salts or Cal Mg. Its not needed. the other store told me to add half tsp of epsom salt per gallon of water. Both agreed that I should only use Cal Mg if Im using RO water. what do you guys think. I remember adding Epsom salt to every watering way back in college but I didn't really know what I was doing. So far I have been having problems with my plants. http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-marijuana-growing/948096-feed-them-let-them-bit-more.html They are still such small clones but the stems are veins are purple and although they are coming around I still wonder if I should add some just to see if that helps. anyone swear by epsom salts? thanks in advance for any advice kd
you should only add epsom if you have a Magnesium deficiency.. other then the Nitrogen burn they are looking healthy and most tap water will contain some Mg but sometimes it's not enough... you'll have to let the plants tell you
by the time your plants tell you they have a mg def your yield has been compromised. a pinch of epsom per gal everyother or every other other watering will prevent mg def. and as coco releases its k it attract cal and mg even if using tap. if in tap I would say go buy 1 qt of cal mag and depending on how long you veg I would add 2 to 5ml per gal maybe 2 to 3 times total in veg and only once in early flower.
