Well, I have been thinking about the Christian God and whenever I read the bible it seems that he is so personalized . And I got to thinking... in humans I think the emotion of anger is only a negative. So why is God in the bible always angry esp in old testament. Christians seem to pass it off as oh he is 'justly angry' but what good is it to be angry? Justice is all that matters in a punishment. I think it would make more sense that God (Christian) is just Love. From love, he still has to punish us, but without anger as it serves no purpose.

And I just feel that the bible tries to describe God's emotions way too much, which makes me doubt the authenticity.

  2. I just see it as the writers applying their own personal experiences to their writing.

The Chinese did a much better job

  3. I say this with respect to anyone who believes in God, but judging by what the Bible says, God seems like a real asshole.

I don't know whose God that is, because it certainly isn't mine

"The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully." - Richard Dawkins

  6. :) So true, so true. Too bad that most of humanity cannot surpass the vices of their ancestors.
