I have a strawberry cough plant that is about 4 weeks into flowering and it has absolutely no smell what's so ever....shouldn't it by now?
I've grown about 9 different strains bought from internet that were supposed good genetics. Most are,but even to this day the most stinky crop I ever grew was my first, and it was bagseed. So I dont really know what the deal is myself. I can tell you if you cut early/dry to fast itll never get the taste/smell your lookn for.We all look for.
id watch that plant for nanners.. i grew a strawberry cough out and it had no smell, low resign production until about week 4 or 5 of flower. then i noticed a funky ass weird smell to it, not like mj. i let it go and the smell got worse, tasted terrible, it was a genetic hermie. ive read a couple other threads of ppl having the same problem with dutch passions strawberry cough. look for very light green male stamen hanging out of the buds, they are noticeably more light green, and some what look like a new leaf but rounded and looks like a tiny banana.

It could be a poor, or low-terpene pheno, but here are a few things to keep in mind... Sometimes, when you live with the grow, you can't smell it nearly as well as others can.. and sometimes, you stop smelling it entirely. I'll often have to bring jars and samples outside so they can 'mix' with the fresh air, before I can get a sense of their true smell. Between being closed up in my house, and mixed with the scents of a dozen other strains, it's hard to tell the individual traits apart, or to even detect any odor at all after you've become so accustom to it. After a while I learned that, if a friend walks into your house, and his eyes light up, it's a good sign he's smelling something that you're not. Some days, before I got more into ozone machines and carbon filters, I could smell my grow better from the mailbox than I could from my living-room! When it seeps outside the cracks in your house, and blends with fresh air, it becomes noticeably pungent to those who have been living inside with the scent, all the time. It's a bit like layering flavors in recipes to enhance the individual flavor notes; some recipes call for little to no blending and instead call for layers or swirls of bland, and strong flavors... the contrast between the bland flavor, makes the strong flavor all the stronger. Eating the strong flavor for too long, all on its own, can quickly become dull and will pale in comparison to the contrast between light and the same heavy flavors. I've often thought that I'd be safe bringing a particular sample to a friend's house in the past, then after driving for five minutes (or after walking into a gas station ) it just gets stronger, and stronger. On a similar note, I smelled and could detect my earliest grows a lot more than I do now. And a funny story... Once, I gave someone a particularly rank (in a good way!) bag of some freshly crossed White Widow X Hog, to try out.. I tend to give bud out like glasses of water, when I have plenty on hand. The next day I was due to go over and hang out at his place, with him, his wife, and a few friends. I get there, and this totally crazy smell just... hits me! Right upside the head! I remember thinking to myself, that well, I just didn't know what to think of it. I didn't even know if the smell had a 'good source' or a 'bad source'. I couldn't tell if it was some crazy garlic-herb-spicey Indian dish they were cooking, or if their newborn baby had just made a particularly pungent diaper. He whips out the bag I handed him yesterday, and says "this is just the wildest stuff I have EVER smelled"... and I had a whiff, and realized it was my own weed I was smelling basically for the first time, even though I had jars and jars of the stuff at home, and a closet where half the batch was still drying. I just never noticed before how strong and crazy it actually smelled, until it was in a different environment. Long story short, odor control is a good thing to stay on top of even if you don't think you're producing any odor. Sometimes, even if you can't smell anything, a lot of other people definitely can!

when i had the exact problem i didnt notice it went hermie until it was almost done. after growing another clone of it i noticed same smell/lack of smell at first and noticed them around week 5. they were very hard to see. heres a pic of a plant I fucked up, got lazy and didnt change the res and kept adding nutes, burned it, then noticed a banana a few days later. just to give you an idea of what to keep an eye out for.
