Sativas are known for their stretch and long growth. If you want a short sativa your only options are getting a hybrid or growing your plant smaller. They can get any size, of course. The plants are not limited in size, they will just grow with more length than indica.
Just flower when you want it to be 3x or more that height. When it starts growing buds it will stop growing vertically. My last sativa was 3 feet I flowered at a foot. It was the exact same size as my indica but my indica vegged longer.
