  1. I'm all high and I need some good jazz...

    Suggestions?

  2. Stan Kenton - Malanguenia or some spelling of that.

Being a trumpet player, that song makes me cream my pants every time at the 1:58 mark....

  3. sonny rollins - tenor sax GOD. saw him in concert amazing.

  4. Jaco Pastorious (or the band Weather Report)

  5. Yeah man Miles Davis for sure.....John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock:wave:

  6. can't forget some Wes Montogomery..and if you can find it, Enrico Rava.

    EDIT- Wes Montgomery*

  7. Try sleep terror. Its death metal jazz.

  8. Charlie Parker, Cannonball Adderley, Dexter Gordon, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Art Pepper, Denis Diblasio, Nick Brignola, Lester Young, Nick Brignola, Dave Brubeck, Gerry Mulligan, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Don Menza, the list is endless.

  9. good jazz in a nutshell

i dont think i see Charles Mingus

dizzy gillespie is the shit though i think i should add

  10. charlie parker, ella fitzgerald, duke ellington, john coltrane, the bad plus, dave brubeck, even some harry connick jr, nina simone, and some vince guaraldi trio. that's my jams.

if you want some jazz-infused indie rock to go along with that, check out euphone or sleepytime trio

there's also a "beatles jazz" album out thats jazzed up versions of a lot of the beatles hits/singles. check it out.:smoking:

  11. i;d love to know these beatles jazz hits, i have the beatles discography and have never heard a jazzed up beatles track

  12. i doubt it was done by the beatles, in fact i'm fairly certain it's not. probably some indie kids dicking around and stuff. notable track is blackbird, the version of 'let it be' is a bit too calypso/reggae for my taste, that song is best a beatle-done track. (don't get me wrong, i love reggae).

i have it on my iPod only, and have no way to transfer it to the computer. i would try looking on soulseek or limewire first, but if you can't get it free you can probably buy it from iTunes. good luck!
