Sherlock?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by ohaiwill, May 26, 2009.

  1. Lately I've been itching to buy a true sherlock. Not just the shape, I don't want a glass one. I want the one that your grandpa smoked out of when you were young. Like this one:

How do these hit? I've never smoked out of one before. I'm assuming it's somewhat like a chillum and doesn't have a carb. Are they hard to clean? I could see resin getting clogged up towards the mouthpiece and it seems like it would be difficult to clean.

Any tips about them would be greatly appreciated!

  2. I have one that was left to me by my grandfather years ago......

Compared to my glass collection, it hits like shit.

Cleaning it is a little troublesome. Since it's an antique, I never had the nerve to put it in Iso, so there was lots of scraping involved.

IMO, it's a nice novelty piece, but I wouldn't want one as my only piece.

  3. Ahhhhh thanks for the tips.

I own a few glass pieces, but I've always thought these looked awesome.

  4. They really do hit like shit, and the only way to keep it from getting clogged up is to clean it with a regular pipe cleaner about every other time you use it. All in all, not worth it, IMO.

  5. I made the mistake of buying one of them. Got clogged up the 2nd time I used it. The bowl is soo fricking deep, you can fit like 3 grams into it. These pipes are only usefull for tobacco, which I use mine for pretty oftenly.
