Sheriff Investigating Theft Of $15,000 Worth Of Marijuana Toke of the Town - Sheriff Investigating Theft Of $15,000 Worth Of Marijuana About $15,000 worth of cannabis was stolen from a medical marijuana grower's building Sunday night near Bozeman, Montana, Gallatin County Sheriff Jim Cashell said Tuesday. The building, in the town of Four Corners, was damaged during the break-in, although law enforcement declined to discuss details, reports Jodi Hausen at the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. This is the second time in two weeks the business had been burglarized, Sheriff Cashell said. He did not have any details about the first burglary. The case is being investigated and detectives "may have some leads," according to the Sheriff. Thieves must have absconded with about five pounds, based on the $15,000 price tag of the stolen marijuana, according to Jake Wagner, commander of the Missouri River Drug Task Force (they have four pretty cool photos of dope and guns on their site). When asked if was worried about the stolen marijuana being sold illegally, Wagner said he was more concerned with the break-in and theft. "We're concerned just like any other burglary," he said. "Fifteen thousand dollars of someone's property is missing."
