Shed(sp) grow

  1. Ok well ive always been interested in growing MJ but just never had anywhere to do it and whenever i found a good spot in my house i would be worried about the smell later on in the grow. Just recently i found a patch of land that a friend of my dads owns he has about 10 acres and its mostly wooded. I know were nearing the end of the grow season and its to late for me to start growing outdoors but what if i could get my hands on a shed would i be able to grow. My only problem is it gets pretty cold in PA and i dont know if that will effect how they grow. I mean i can always get a heater or somthing to keep it at a good temp and i wouldnt have to worry about rain and other weather cause there would be a roof over it. So i guess my main question is should i go about this like a regular indoor grow. This is also my first grow and i will be planting anywhere from 10 to 15 plants (depending on size of shed). Thanks for the help much appriciated

  2. yes, treat it like its an indoor grow... you will have to control the temps, and the humidity.

One big question i have is, how are you going to get lights into the shed? is there a power source there? that woul dbe my biggest concern... once you got the lights in there, you should be laughin

  3. Well the shed wont be to far away from this guys house so i could always run a extension cord to it but what i was pretty sure i am gonna do is use our generator. only thing is noise that it would make.

Edit: I figured that a generator wont work cause there to damn loud but the shed will only be about 50 yards at most so worse comes to worse i can put two or three extension cords together.

  4. good plan... make sure you use HEAVY DUTY and WATERPROOF extension cords... and i would as well cover them with something, incase some stupid chipmunk or something comes along and gnaws on the wires causing a short

    good luck man

  5. i would use profesional grade extension cord (like a 4 gauge wire, nothing under 8), & if u use more than 1, tie them at the connections, then use electrial or waterproof tape to cover the connections, & make sure its rated for 15 amps, & that u do not exced 15amps on the whole circuit, (this mean all other things pluged into that circuit). ex: inside the house u run the cord from, like lamps, toasters, etc. & depending on what type of lights u use (like a hid), they produce a good amount of heat, so u might not need to heat the shed. & u could just bury the cord about 4" in ground, except where they connect (just cover w/ brush or something) then pee around the area where the cord is above ground every few days, this will keep pests away b/c they will "smell human" & wont come around.
