  4. Just checking in here after a long absence...
I foster for a few rescues that focus on saving seniors and sick dogs and cats... the ones that are harder to place in loving homes.
In this photo are (from L to R)...
**My Schnoodle lovedog Hero who was a puppy mill dog and was rescued just as he was the next dog to be euthanized at the shelter. He has terrible hair and skin problems and is on daily doses of prednisone and apoquel.
**In the middle is our newest foster, mini Aussie Gracie, who was left alone in her home for around 13-15 hours every day since she was a puppy and was lonely and stir crazy and has separation anxiety since she was left alone so much. She's doing so much better with us.
**On the R is my Katrina rescue, 13 year old Catahoula Leopard Hound Skywalker. He survived the Katrina storm as a puppy and is still afraid of loud sounds and storms.

  5. I can’t believe I’ve missed this thread.
    Great stories and pics.

My JackRat Jackie had bounced around a few homes. The last “people” to have her lived in an apartment, kept her in a cage and she had nowhere to run and play, nor could those self absorbed “people” have bothered.
They gave up on her due to “behavioral problems”....

We got her by chance at an adoption day at the Petco next to the music store we were in that day.

We’ve had her for 6 of her 10 years, and she has been the best dog ever.
Small dog, huge personality. Keeps guard over my stuff too... Don’t mess with Jackie ;)

  6. She is so beautiful. It takes a special person to an animal that has been neglected and abused... So awesome!

  7. Love reading these happy ending stories.

Warms my charcoal dead heart and gives me a shred of hope for humanity.

  10. Our girl Maze. Rottweiler with some Shepard according to our vet.

Got her at about 6 months from a local shelter. Originally a stray, someone had just previously adopted her and returned her after 3 days for being "too active"

People are shit but without those losers we'd have never been blessed with her.
