Starting up another grow today blades! 2 automax seeds have showed taproots an have been put into FFOF solo cups. Same set up as the last grow with better seeds and more knowledge! I'll start posting some pics when they break soil.
Seeds popped soil! They will probably be standing straight by tonight so I'll post pics later or tomorrow. One has the seed case still on an the other is off completely.
Welcome to the world automax1 and automax2! Also the last blunt I will smoke. I'm trying to quit so I can pursue a $20+ an hour job. I have to better my job situation an I will still continue to grow an keep a stash for myself of each ;-) just in case! The extra bud will be sold to friends or made into oils/edibles for friends. I have a buddy who was on some briwes shit taking 20 dabs a day then his oil supply got shut off so hes been bugging me to make some!
Watered with 1/4 str nutes tonight. Hoping to see a jump over night! Already working on the 3rd set of leaves
Found a CFM calculator on Google where you just plug in your info. Its saying I only need about 100 cfm. I'll provably shoot a little higher than that so I can just turn it down a bit. Maybe I should go with a 4" fan? Also I was worried my night temps were too low. Almost dipping in the low 60s. Opened the one heat vent an temps were 74 ish at night an pushing 80 lights on. Closed the vent an lights on temps went to 74. I think this will be better for them. Even if the temp drops 10degrees.
Whats up my man!! what day are you on? Asking cause I noticed you have already starting feeding . What kind of nutes are you using? I'm currently on my first grow , Just started not too long ago , It's in my sig . I'm in this the whole way though . Good luck man!!
Thank you thank you Day 9 since they actually poked out of the soil but probably day 7 since the leaves opened up. I used a little less than 1/4 str. It was diluted a slight bit more after I mixed it together. I'm using General Hydroponic nutes.
Day 13 I think. They are looking great! I'm testing out a new to me training technique, they started growing crooked an the new growth at the nodes wasn't getting much light. I decided to tilt the cups at an angle sort of like LSTing but without physically tying the plant down. It's working great so far!!! They have already bent towards the light an I'm thinking if I do this for a few days they will have a good bend an I can then tilt them different ways to hit all the areas of the plant better! The TST(tilt stress training ) came from the idea of a topsy turvy tomato hanger thing that you see on tv. The last pic is of a baby cow I passed that was chillen in some hay staying warm... cute little thing! Let me know what you all think, I'm really unsure as to when I should transplant these, an what size pot top transplant into. I don't think they NEED 5 gal buckets and that seems a waste of soil. I'm thinking 2 or 3 gal buckets should work well for them. Did my own googling, I always do after I ask a question haha I should have planted straight to 3gal but OH WELL! I'll do it this weekend maybe. Depends how much 2 gal buckets are and if I can get more soil by then(hopefully tomorrow but maybe today since I go past the place)
Anybody near Pittsburgh. Duprees garden center is an absolutely great place to get your gear. They were closed when I showed up but still welcomed me in and got me what I needed.
Not sure what was said but its been handled. He sent me a pm an everything is behind us now. No hard feelings. Thanks though duckiez. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Ganja Power
One of them is showing pistils!!! I'm so fuckin happy! I missed getting to see these on my first grow.
Dude I'm from Pittsburgh too! Mind dropping me a pm with where you got your different stuff? I am looking into a grow this coming spring.
Well I see you're from the 724 not the 412 so you are closer to me. I won't say the exact town but I'm around the Scottdale, youngwood, latrobe area. Got the girls transplanted in their 3 gal pots(actually small square trash cans). Put the HPS bulb in. Ordering ventilation this coming week. Both plants are throwing pistils! I'll try to picture both.
Finally pictures! Figured out some settings on my phone so I can take better pics now! The smaller plant basically is a day or two behind, it had the seed shell still attached for a couple days. I trimmed off one leaf from each plant after LST to give more light to the lower growth. Got some pictures from a day or so ago of the first pistils I spotted, now each plant has them on 2-4 nodes. I'm hoping this will help my yield in the end... I have plenty of seeds left so I'm seeing what works as always. I think this will work nicely.
