Sexing a Seedling

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by growerchic, Apr 5, 2013.

  1. I have about a 6 week old seedling, maybe 6-8" tall. Doing really well, a cheese strain. Currently growing in coco soil under fluorescent light, room temp 75F, PH 6.0, with CanniStart nutrients. In the same room we have about 13 clones growing as well as our mother. So, my question is, when will I be able to sex my seedling? Or more appropriately at the moment, when do I need to worry about my seedling possibly being male and pollinating all of my other females? I'm sure there is a nice tutorial on here somewhere about sexing when it is time, can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. U wont be able to tell untill it preflowers. that will either happen when u switch the lights to 12/12 or the plant matures enough itself. it wont pollinate any plants if u keep an eye when it starts preflowering. u can tell either male or female and get rid if its a male. If u get it early enough it wont pollinate. was it a feminsed seed?
