i think one of my babies in the veg might be starting to show sex a lil early. im gonna get pics on here later tonight. its very very small but the way its forming doesnt look like a white hair. this is my first grow so any help will be appreciated once the pics are up. 2/3--new pics
like k, need pics. even if it is a male, no worries since they won't burst anytime soon. takes about 4 weeks into flower before they release their pollen.
Im relatively sure a male can drop pollen in a veg stage as they are not dependant on a photoperiod for reproduction and should be taken at the first sign of a ball to be safe.
i think his key word is "about" generally pre-flowers do not even pollinate kinda like an 11 year old knockin a bitch up can happen but he is prolly just shooting phlegm...
You are right, so I took the pre flower out, They can drop during veg stage, but very few veg a plant that long. Always best to keep an eye out and and choke out a male ASAP.
'..not dependent on a photo period..'? What? I'm relatively sure this is incorrect. A male does not begin to produce pollen in the vegetative stage. It can produce male pre-flowers, but they won't develop pollen until flowering. Good luck.
LOL a male as long as its not auto-flower is very much dependent on light and just as sensitive as a female...
i apologise for getting yalls hopes up about pics tonight but i couldnt get my bros camera he locked his door and isnt coming home for the night. im going to try and have pics tomorrow morning if i can get the camera but ya i looked at them 5 seconds ago and not it seems like it may be starting a hair out of the little tiny thing so hopefully in the morning it will be bigger and ill but out my magnifying glass. this is my first grow determining sex doesnt seem that hard but im still gonna show you vets to make sure i dont screw anything up
Its only something I have read and since I have never had one long enough to tell I cant say for sure. If you or someone else have taken it that far and know for sure thats one thing but you cant say it doesnt unless you have. I take what I read with a grain if salt but dont discount anything until I have seen it one way or the other. And like I said I have never vegged a male plant that long, LOL. Here is where I found it..MarijuanaGrowing.com by Jorge Cervantes
its the best my camera can do for the pic i might just have to wait until it gets bigger to determine lemme know if you can see it enough to determine ty its a little bit to the right of the arrow it looks lighter
too hard to see....it looks like it could even be new growth but cant tell....try stabalizing the camera more when you take a pic...itll comeout less blury
I always /facepalm when people post these pre-flower pics and have the camera about a foot away from the pic... Seriously, I think 9/10 times people do that, and I chuckle every time.
ok look....put your camera on something stable...not your hand...something that wont move at all....then get a flash light point it directly at the spot you want us to look at then retake the pic...just press the button to take the pic and allow the phone to focus by itself...if you do this the picture will come out good enough for us to see what we need to.. just make sure the phone doesnt move at all while take the pic and itll come out pretty clear
i kept a male in the flower stage for about 2 weeks. nice stack of balls, i'll post a pic later tonight. the longer the male can go before the chop, the more hash
what stage are the plants? male plants, from what i've seen, form sacks on the top colas first. if your lights are on 24/0, 18/6 etc then you will probably only see pre flowers (assuming they've been vegged long enough) in which case you should switch to 12/12 and you'll see their sex in a week or two.
yea be wary of what u think are pollen sacs. Often times than none its just new growth. I made the mistake of disposing of one of my plants that i thought was male. the following week when i found the dead plant it my back yard, it had devoloped hairs all over it. So I learned the hard way.
