Severe scoliosis

Discussion in 'Medical Cannabis: Treatments & Patient Experiences' started by grapewhiteowl, Jan 29, 2007.

  1. I have a 43% curve in my back (scoliosis). I'm always in absolute pain. Surgery is not something I want to go through, the curve wont become bigger because I'm way past my growing stages, I'm afraid of surgery, and I have been told countless times it doesn't "fix" the issue.

I wonder if I should even bother applying for a MJ card?? Has anyone who had scoliosis gotten their card? I really do not want to be on opiates to treat my pain.

  2. I'm not sure but it depends on your documented medical history, your location, and the availability of the cannaabis.

If I were you I'd do some research and try anyway...and by the way welcome to the city. :)

  3. in canada you should be able to join medical cannabis clubs or apply for a license if you have scoliosis and suffer from chronic pain as a result.

  4. I had a 57 degree curve in my spine at age 14 and it was corrected through spinal fusion of my entire thoracic spine and a few of my lumbar vertebrae, i am now 20 and i still have scoliosis in my lumbar and cervical vertebrae and i am still in an INSANE amount of pain, however due to the severity of my curve it was crucial to undergo surgery because my lungs and reproductive organs were being crushed. now my hips and shoulders are uneven and my lungs and kidneys are uneven. i am on hear to ask someone if i should bother looking into medical marijuana in michigan. i feel your pain dude :(
