Severe Pain

  1. I have this awful pain in my neck/shoulder. I took Advil, but I'm so tense, my arm is aching and so is my head. I want to cry. Is there anything I can do to relieve this? (I occasionally have this problem because of boob weight and carrying my kid.)

  2. Take thirty minutes to your self and relllaax.

Sounds like its stress and busy body related. Just take the time to smoke a nice smooth bowl... close your eyes and focus solely on your breathing, on the sensation of life sustaining oxygen flooding your body and providing another moment of being. Let your worries melt away and focus solely on yourself.

    It should melt away

  3. Go see a doctor...it could be so many things you wouldn't even believe it. It can even be caused by problems with your gallbladder, liver, and heart. Go see a doctor.

  4. Honestly, all I want is someone to dig their thumb on a knot right above my shoulder blade, but it's at too awkward an angle to exert enough pressure myself. What I should do is see a chiropractor, but I want relief now! I do need to see a dr. though...
Just wondering if there were any tips for temporary relief.

And yes, weed and relaxation help. I'm the single mother of a very smart and active 2 year old who is sick of being trapped inside because the snow is too deep to play in. Yeah...

    Also, maybe yoga??

  5. You could be, and are probably right about it being some structural issue that just needs some manipulation to relieve, but you could be wrong. There is a nerve that runs though your thoracic cavity and ends up at your neck/shoulder. Any pain there will feel like a crick in your neck/shoulder. I'm not trying to scare you, and its almost certainly not that, but in my opinion its worth getting checked out. Why not spend a little money to make sure you don't have a real problem on your hand.

  6. overstressed nerve, very painful. sooner you find a way to address it the faster it will go away. sorry ouch.

  7. Get a nice massage and relax.

Sounds like stress, try not to put too much added pressure, or weight to the area.

  8. Try like 15 minutes of stretching when you wake up and before you go to bed it seems to help me sometimes.

  9. Try taking a shower as hot as you can take it. Also try muscle relaxers but you should probably see a doc.
