Severe IBS, trouble getting MJ

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Bellzer, Jun 6, 2010.

  1. I have really bad IBS going on three years now. At least that's what the doctors diagnosed me as having, although I'm still not convinced. I have done pretty much every test, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, abdominal scan, various blood and stool tests, breath test, and most recently, an anal rectal monomotry and they have all come back negative. My life is pretty bad right now. I am confined to the home. I spend about 6-7 hours a day on the toilet, and if I try to leave the house I have severe leakage. It's depressing to say the least. No medications the doctors have given me help whatsoever. I've tried plenty of alternative medicines as well. The only thing that relieves these symptoms is smoking weed.

And when I say relief, I mean immediate relief. I can take one or two hits, and these symptoms completely vanish. I can go out without any problems. I can sit through an entire movie without running to the toilet. It's incredible. The problem is that the dealer I had no longer answers his phone. I haven't been able to smoke in months and as you can imagine, the symptoms have only gotten worse.

I have no friends at this point in my life, and I've grown to accept that. It's hard to maintain a relationship when you cannot even leave the house. But, as a result, I have no means of getting weed and no means of meeting people who might have it. There's no going to bars or parties anymore for me. What I need is way to find a steady dealer, one that is understanding of my situation. I think my previous guy just thought I was purposely being a dick by never hanging around to chill, when I was physically unable to.

If I could get it medicinally, combined with proper diet, I would definitely be able to live a functional life. But as of right now, that isn't really an option. This is sort of a last resort type deal. I guess I'm just throwing this out there in the hopes that anyone might have suggestions.

move to a MMJ friendly state.

i have over 400 dealers, in the form of dispensaries lol

edit: im not trying to sound like an ass when i say that, but have ou ever considered moving to a MMJ state?

i mean a lot of people on here post threads of how they want to move here because of the weed. and thats fine and dandy by me, but you actually have a legit reason to look into moving.

You most likely have something worse than IBS that they can't figure out. I have a number of friends that have much more severe diseases and were told they had IBS first. I was told I have IBS back when, when I actually have a connective tissue disorder, which causes some fairly bad GI symptoms (in addition to a variety of other problems). I would continue looking into your medical problems and try to find a good GI specialist that deals with cases like yours. It is extremely frustrating to effectively be told you're not sick at all by your doctors when you basically can't function normally. I've been there. It's really sad that doctors jump to diagnoses of exclusion even if they don't really fit that well, and just claim it's an "unusually severe case" while saying you couldn't possibly have anything else because it's really rare.

As for the cannabis, moving to a state with medical marijuana laws would be ideal. If that isn't an option, grow your own. Even in the medial marijuana states, you'll want to grow your own. It's legal with the recommendation/prescription/whatever, and it's waaaay cheaper than buying.

edit: As for buying, it's not exactly hard most places. It's pretty rare to meet someone that can't get weed, though I do live in CA.
