Hello folks, i am finishing my third grow and i have been thinking that i would like to upgrade my growing setup a bit. My bedroom is used solely for growing now, its a space 10x10x10 and i would like to construct two growtents, one for veg and one for flower to have a perpetual setup. In total i have 2150 watts of lights: 2x250w CFL 4X54w T5 4X58w T8 1X250w HPS 1X400w HPS 1X600w HPS I am planning on buying two more 600w HPS and replacing the CFLs and T5-T8 later . I am thinking about 2x600w HPS vertical style in the flowering tent with 10-12 plants around them at any time. And have clones or plants from seeds+autoflowers in the veg tent. 1)How should i set the whole thing up? 2)Are 1800 watts of HPS enough (1200 in the flowering tent+600w in the veg tent for autoflowers) to harvest 1 kg per month or am i too optimistic? 3)And last but not least, can i take clones from plants 5 weeks in veg? (i am asking because i have some plants that will reach 5 weeks in a few days and would like to try my luck). Thank you very much for any answers and suggestions!
in order to harvest anything close to that you would have to have 2 flower tents/rooms, since most strains run at least 60 days in flower or you could use 1 larger tent with plants stagered 30 days or so but i think you would need more light.I dont know what ur pulling per watt but to get to 2.2 pounds a month u would probably need 3ooo watts or more.You would also need a small space to veg and clone. This sounds like an ambitious operation. i tried to figure a way to harvest monthly but im not able to at this point. a good 45 day strain or some autos would help some what( i hate autos u would be spending a small fortune on auto seeds and keep all the males out early. alot more work i think.I hope you realize that this is going to be a full time job thats why i cant do it between my kids wife a 2 hour commute and work, i wouldnt have enough time in the day.
