Setting up a 8x8 tent

    Legally can grow 5 plants now, currently have 1 mars hydro 960watt reflector, should I buy another one or 2 of those?
    Or something else willing to spend around 400-500$

    Quantum Boards seem to be the "thing" now in grow lights.

    Quantum boards are the way to go or the linear sun boards . Start a little Google and you won't be Disappointed. Blurple is not that good compared to the white light nowadays.

    What about the mars hydro ts 1000watts, could buy 2-3 of those?

    Thinking about just getting 1 1000watt hps and a 5x5 grow tent

    8x8 is 64 sq ft, you could grow 16 or more comfortably in it.

    5 plants in a 8 by 8 is over kill. Unless you’re vegging for 3 months and training the hell out if them. I’d go 5x10 tent for would be easier to train your plants to cover that sq ft than the 8x8.

    5x5 might get tight in flower with 5 but doable as hell. If u get a 1000w hps get a dimmable ballast.

    This Mars Hydro TS1000 only use 150 watts. That’s what you would go by, and 40 watts per sf. So for a 5x5, 1000 real led watts, or two 600 watt HPS. You’ll have bulb changes and heat removal costs with the HPS.

    4 of these would allow you to run a little dimmed but get great coverage

    How much do you think it would cost to run a 6in duct fan with a 1000watt hps in a 5x5 tent

    $250 to $350 depending on how quiet you want it. That’s with a Phresh filter

    No. To buy. The electricity used is negligible. You may need a/c depending how well the system runs. Plants grown with LEDs can withstand higher temps. There’s infrared in HPS so typically they hurt plants if too hot

    Or would I be better off just grabbing one more mars hydro 1000watter for 290$ and have 2 of those in a 5x5 there equivalent to a 450hps they say. Cause I just don’t want a super high energy bill but my brother says I’ll see better yield with hos

    Seen some good results on YouTube of the mars hydro ts1000w and 2000w. The plants people are getting are banging.
