First off... I have a relatively small and simple oscillating fan, the tower style ones. If you turn the knob one way, there are 3 speed settings for it without oscillating, and you can probably guess the latter. So, After having this fan for probably about 5-6 months now, about a month after getting it I put it in this room because of all the electronics. There was no working light in the room at the time so I made a mental note to turn it left so it would oscillate (I'm tired of that word). About 2-3 months ago the light in this room was finally replaced. And just now, I realized I've been turning the dial to the right thinking I was turning it left inside my head... now I just made that into a story for something very simple, but you know what? I don't care because my reality just got knocked on it's ass when I figured that out! Fuck!
Haha You probably thought that because to turn the fan to the right, you have to reach to the left, so to speak, and then twist your wrist to the right. I can definitely see how this could happen, especially when one of your senses ( vision) was partially obscured. Although you would have had a better chance of realizing what you were doing if it was daylight.
Haha, I can't even believe you guys are understanding of it. I mean, yeah the dial goes all the way around, and the knobs defines diameter (math). So basically the bottom part was turning to the left, but damn I've been doing this for at least four months... I feel like I'm in an alternate universe with the combination of drugs and the mindfuck I got from that realization haha.
