The directions on the sensi grow a and b say it will keep the water at optimal ph for 1 week..I've been replacing the water every 8 to 10 days..Can I just add more of the a and b to the tank rather than pumping out and replacing with a fresh mix? Thanks...
I always give a fresh bucket and I run with advanced nutrients 3 part. Fresh water is always good. I have run 5 now almost 6 successful grows with no ph meter Little one is current grow big one is last grow and as you can see even without a ph meter I do just fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You can do anything you want. I haven't changed my reservoirs, even once, my last 3 grows. My last harvest was my biggest ever, and very healthy. But I do use clorox, 2 drops per gallon per day. And I do drain out about 3-4% of the reservoir daily as a small insurance policy, and to check with my ppm and pH meters. I suspect fertilizer companies have convinced us hydro growers to change reservoirs every x weeks, even tho dirt growers do fine without dirt changes.
If you notice a slow down of growth and water uptake then change the water. I change every 5 to 10 days and run the florakleen to remove salts that buildup. There are those that don't change the water, but how do you know what your plant has consumed and what it didn't need as much of? No way of knowing, so with the florakleen and fresh RO water I know what's in my water.
Ph meters are so cheap. I don't understand why people will spend hundreds or thousands on everything else and then won't get a $15 meter off Amazon, lol. Even the good submersible meters are only like $60. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
SmartChoice 3 in 1 Soil pH and Light Meter.. I have one of these but only used it for checking light strength and moisture..Never really used the ph checker...When I fill the tank for this years grow, I'll compare it to the aqua test..Noticed a marked difference keeping the ph down..5.0 - 6.0..vs out of the tap..8.0
