  1. Hey guys but Rick Scott is a moderate a Republican turned Democrat who loves obamacare, according to the MSM thats what all politicians should strive to imitate.

  2. I just posted my disgust on his facebook page.

  3. Looks like there's gonna be a rush on corncob pipes very soon.  :smoke:

I'd be so down for that. Someone start a petition, and I'll be all over it.

  6. Like 1% actually tested positive for drugs.  The state lost millions beyond millions over the legislation.  Did they revoke the bill because of how much it failed?  Because I know such a thing was a reality.

Welfare shouldn't exist in the first place, but yes I advocate the drug testing. I've personally encountered dozens of people who use drugs and live partly or wholly off the government.

  8. I agree that welfare shouldn't exist in the first place.  So therefore we have nothing to argue about.

I disagree that welfare shouldn't exist, there should be more actual focus on welfare instead of warfare and it should be distributed more intelligently by our politicians, not overlooked for mindless prohibitions like this one

  10. Florida did it a while back. Only 2% failed saving the state about 60,000. While testing everyone costed 178 million. Not worth it at all.

  11.
That's probably because most of those who knew they'd fail probably realized it just wasn't worth showing up to fail the test and possibly go to prison for scamming the system. I guarantee there was a much bigger percentage drop than the 1-2% in the number of welfare checks being paid out from before to after the testing.

  12. Even if half of them failed, they would still lose money. It costs 178 million to test everyone, and that's only in florida. Do you know how many would have to fail just for them to break even?

  13. So someone on welfare should not be smoking ?

  14.

No. They shouldn't. Spend more time and energy trying to support yourself than getting high.

I'm down for it too and it is officially law.  The first state so watch the exodus.  If they did that to the illegals we would solve that problem too.  The fact of the matter is if you are reaching for a handout you shouldn't be wasting it on things you don't need or buying stuff not necessary or doing drugs and neglecting your children.

  16.
are you high or something?  If a welfare family got $1000 per month for instance and a test cost 50$ then how are they losing money?  what a ridiculous argument.

  17. Because 98% of those people didn't do drugs, and the cost for their drug tests faaaar outweigh any savings from the people not allowed to be on welfare.

The entire social service system in this country is beyond fucked.

  18. Your answer to more government is....more government. You are a smart cookie. Why dont we just sleep in bubble wrap and have the gov spoon feed us apple sauce?

  19. Because they would have to test all the families. Most people on welfare are not on drugs. They already did it in Florida. They lost 178 million and only 2% failed. It wasn't worth it.
