    I am posting this here because...well....the organics section has the best congregation of minds this site has to offer. even though its a grow light, im using it for an organic grow. even though it belongs in the light section of the forums, i trust this sections opinions above anyone elses on this site.
     
    i like the fact it comes with a cool tube and both bulbs. for 129 bucks...i know you get what you pay for but i once had a 400 watt htg supply light for around the same price and it ran just fine.
    what do you all think? and what might you recommend?.

    I have this set that's been running for 2 years now (with new bulbs). The reflector is a little better and it's600 watts. The timer that came with it burned out yesterday. If you can afford it get a vented hood in place of the cool tube I'm looking to replace mine because the tube wastes light.

    i dont need the timer or hangers. just the bulb ballast and hood. and do you think the cool tube inside the bigger rectangle reflecter would still waste light? more so than a vented hood with a sheet of glass?

    Introducing anything "New" or technological is a mistake in the organics section, we the old crusty and dried up old hippies of yester year ..are just to set in our ways to take on all this 'modern' shit, Hell!!! ...we make Republicans look good .....lol

    well after looking the darned thing up i found out its not metal halide. and if you want to see something new (atleast to me) check out my post on NATURES CIRCLE. its my idea of a turntable vertical grow. 4 plant 400 watt+ side lighting. its going to be in organic soil though hehe. just give me 5 minutes to finish writing it up. id love your opinion.
