The fridge is the best way to store seeds for a long time. Put them in an air-tight bag and toss 'em in there. I've heard of seeds lasting over four years this way. There is one downside, though. The longer the seeds are in there, the lower percentage of seeds will germinate.

dont put them in a bag.. get a airt tight jar, and filled it with milkpowder, and add the seeds, and cover it with more milk powder... storage it in the frige...latezzz..

 

Store them in a sealed container, make sure the seed is dry.
Some folks add some uncooked rice to absorb any moisture that may be present.

I know a couple of local growers say they can last for many years (6 to 10 years is the claim). They will degrade and die off over time. How they are stored will be a big factor.

I keep my seeds in the fridge in a small plastic jar with a little pack of silica gel...

 

it depends a lot on how the "good head shop" stored them.

ive seen seeds kept in clear bags on the counter or even in a draw in a desk next to a heater just becuse the owner didnt know any better and he wondered why people kept comming back saying they didnt grow.

another head shop i used to go to kept them in a fridge behind the counter, that was great apart from the ones at the top near the ice box froze, not a good idea if you wanted any seeds that started with the letters a to e becuse they were the ones at the top.

ask to see how the seeds have been stored and how old the stock is.
