Seeds, pollen sacs, or normal?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Fishyfingerz, May 13, 2021.

  1. Im in week 5-6 of flower on a feminized afghani. Everything has been looking pretty good thus far, but I have what I think could be pollen sacs or seeds forming on the buds. I pulled a small bud off and took it outside, they seem to be full of water and pop when squeezed. I've only done a couple cycles of autos so I'm very new to growing and especially to photos.I kept an eye out for male parts throughout veg, and never saw any, the afghani was in veg for close to 3 months. Thanks for any input. 20210513_093053.jpg 20210513_094755.jpg

  3. The only other plant in the tent is a cindy 99 with no sacs, and outside the tent are a couple autos. Feck, so I guess I need to take it out of the tent and trash it?

  4. Don't trash it.........some of the best weed I ever smoked had seeds in it.
Just isolate it from the rest.

  6. I dont have a way to isolate it. Outside the tent are autos on 18/6.

  7. Don't bother then. If they're NOT just fat calyxes, you'll find a few seeds in the others too.

  8. I forgot I had this cheap mars hydro blurple light. So I'll isolate it in a closet for a while to see what happens. Thanks for the help 20210513_145415.jpg

  12. You know, there was a time when all cannabis had seeds! :eek2: All of the cannabis the hippies smoked in the late 60s had seeds! (I was one of them, so I know.)

Here's how to handle seeded buds. Just dry them like normal and cure them. Once cured, place them on a plate and let them dry out completely (If you are in a humid area this may take a few days.)

Then get that big wire mesh strainer and a big glass or metal (not plastic) bowl from the kitchen. I have a metal bowl that the strainer fits across perfectly. :D Put some of the dry cannabis into the strainer and rub it through to the bowl below. Nicely flaked cannabis falls into the bowl, while all the seeds and stem bits stay in the strainer.

Once all the cannabis is cleaned, take a look at the bowl! Your cannabis will all be at the bottom of the bowl, but there on the sides of the bowl is some yellow-green dust! After removing the cannabis and jarring it up, take your finger and scrape up those loose trichs and tiny bits of leaf. You'll be surprised how much "leaf and kief" you'll get! Makes a nice topper for a pipeful or can be slipped into a joint.

After you jar up the clean cannabis, add a few drops of water (or dry wine, if you want to be fancy), close it and shake to mix. Let it sit for a couple hours, and then check the cannabis for the moisture level. Repeat until its right for your taste.

    Granny
