OK, I've got two females that are starting to bud nicely and there have been no male plants anywhere in my yard. However, I have a few seed sacks showing on one of the females and I don't understand how they can get pollinated when there is no male present. Do some females just develop seeds naturally without needing a male????? Thanks for any insight you can give me.
You use the expression seed SACKS, which is unusual. Seeds are found in the bud, and aren´t very obvious until you trim the dried bud. Are you sure these aren´t pollen sacks?? Sure it has not gone hermie?? But if they are seeds, that is no surprise, pollen can blow miles, in fact hundreds of miles from Morocco to here. But in that case I would expect more than the one lady to get pollinated. A pic would give us the definitive answer, if you could do that.
as spanish stated, either your plant went hermy on you or there is a male / males in the area (or pollen coming from further away...)
I bet you have some old lady down the road with plants in her back yard and she pollenated your shit, JK I would bet IF they r seeds then you just got really unlucky and it(male juice) traveled to your plant from somewhere else. Pics would be a big help... JOE>
Either way if the plant went hermie you should watch it good and maybee do a little research on hermies and look at some pics, because the flowers will pollenate all of your girls.
Thanks for all of the replies!! I took some photos to better show you what I am dealing with. It's hard for me to believe some ol' lady down the road is ruining my plant but that well could be the case. Here is a sac that I ripped off and laid in the palm of my hand. Here's a view from below of a sac below several bud sites. Here's the view of one of my top buds. Is my plant doomed or will it just have a bunch of seeds in the bud?? Are they hermies or does it look like one of my neighbors is up to no good by letting males have their way in the garden!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!
I have a bunch of seedlings just sprouting. How and when will i be able to identify the males to get rid of the little boogers. Any help would be appreciated.
Yeah, she looks like all woman to me! Gunner, not until they exit veg and start to early flower. From your other post, I know your in the saouth, so it's all about the light cycle.
I can see no pollen sacs and certainly no seeds on that female - she has not been budding long enough to produce seeds, that´s for sure. You appear to have no problems. Good luck with your harvest.
