Seeds from hermi

  1. i had a one hermi plant with good buds but with a lot of seeds.
if i will germinate them can they be pure females or that they all be hermi's?
    thanks

  2. One thing I never could find out and would like to know?

  3. Always try to avoid seeds from a hermi plant because that's likely all you will get back. Garbage in, garbage out.

  4. The answer is...it depends. And there's no way to know until/unless you grow them out.

One of the ways of making femmed seeds is to purposely hermie a few select budsites on a target female plant. But this has to be done within certain parameters, under controlled conditions. From this many folks have drawn the conclusion that any hermie is the golden path to feminizing your own seeds. Not true. If it were true, don't you think you'd see sticky threads all over here about how to induce your own hermies?

So, you might have all females, and viable ones at that. Or you might just get back hermies. Possible even that you could get males, if the plant hermie'd due to a genetic defect.

And also, have to ask...there are no males in the grow space that could have pollinated? The only source of pollen is the hermie?

  5. I actually did this and the seeds produced 90% females. If not higher. In fact, i'm pretty sure all of my plants from those seeds ended up female.

    Perhaps i was just lucky.
