i bought some seeds from a seedbank(flyingdutchmen, forgot which kind)... i put 4 seeds in 4 planters outside in my backyard... its been 3 days, none of them have sprouted.. what might be the prob? sunlight(my backyard gets sun most of the day), or water? or something else i didn't do right..
you should germinate first. take the seeds and put them in luke warm water over night, occasionally stirring it to sink seeds. then, take them out and put them on a damp washclothe, fold it over a few times, and place this into a tupperware container. check once a day untill a white tap root shows, and place tap root down into the soil about 1/2 inch deep. then it should kick off. good luck sir
also, be sure that the soil is moist doing it outside shouldn't be a problem, unless you have pests (today I lost 5 newly sprouted ICE babies to ants, WTF). just be sure not to let them dry up, and its probably a good idea to put them out of direct sunlight (though I've sprouted a few that way).
Yeah, another good thing it so have the soil moist before you put the seed in, because then you dont have to water untill they pop up
^^ indeed.. i am excited... even tho i dont know anything about growing and probably will end up with shit... its fun
